Neighborhood Guide

Midtown West

It’s trendy and the easiest location in NYC to get around. You'll find many actors reside here because it is near the Broadway theaters and the Actors Studio training school. Who doesn’t like living next to an actor?

The neighborhood’s past ethnic conflicts formed the basis of the musical and film West Side Story. Once a place of for working-class Irish Americans, during the new millennium, Hell's Kitchen has undergone enormous change and is now considered one of the coolest places to live in NYC. There are fabulous ethnic restaurants and many hidden treasures. There are nightclubs and concert halls. And, yes, those old Irish Pubs are still there, cranking out imported beer on Taps that have been around before you were a glint in your daddy’s eyes.
Living in NY isn’t complete until you’ve lived it up here.
