The neighborhood’s past ethnic conflicts formed the basis of the musical and film West Side Story. Once a place of for working-class Irish Americans, during the new millennium, Hell's Kitchen has undergone enormous change and is now considered one of the coolest places to live in NYC. And, yes, those old Irish Pubs are still there, cranking out imported beer on Taps that have been around before you were a glint in your daddy’s eyes.
Living in NY isn’t complete until you’ve lived it up here.
